Gingham Overalls

I made these little gingham check overalls for my twin nephews.

They are so dapper in these. The hats my sister got them set it off perfectly.

They loved looking down at their new outfits, the big and small black and white checkers had their interest and curiosity, and chewing on the big buttons (that i made sure to sew on extra secure for them) .

Giant Pink Bunny

I was looking at google earth images after the tsunami in Japan and came across this giant pink bunny in the Alps. I can't believe i havent see this before. It was hand knitted by a group of artists called Gelitin. So dope. I love the giant gaping mouth, i would love to jump inside. I would love to walk along the legs and lay on it's huge tummy. It is expected to be on the Italian mountian top until 2025 so who know, maybe i will get my chance!

BTW: this is funny

My Amy Butler-ish Pouf

I used approx 4 trash bags full of shreaded bills! to fill my pouf. I added a layer if quilt batting and another muslin inner lining layer to sandwich the batting in the center. That way since i knew i was using shreaded paper it would still be soft and fluffy to sit on, and it is! Also I put a zipper in on the bottom. That way if my pouf starts going flat i can just shread some more bills and stuff away.

Aprons! Aprons!

I have been so busy on the weekends with painting and apron making, sometimes both in the same day. But I can move on with my life now since the painting part is done.

The apron making will have to continue tho. I am selling aprons designed exclusively for Planet Cookies in Old Town Monrovia. Each one is unique and one of a kind. This style and set of colors Chocolate/Blue and Chocolate/Pink will only be sold there. Along with yummy cookies, pretty cakes and delicious salads and sandwiches. Luckily I have help in this little venture, my sister and I are sharing the work and turning some of our weekend hours into sewing parties. Its fun, and we always hang out and chit chat anyways, so now we sew too. Its a little sisterly bonding and crafting goodness.
We have been at it for a while, making, selling, and cant seem to make enough to keep the store stocked.

Happy New Year!

I finally finished this patchy quilt, I had to put it on hold around thanksgiving in order to work on xmas projects. It felt sooo good to get back to MY projects and this quilt was the first thing on the list to get done.

Ive been busy

I did a little christmas craft fair on december 10th. I was busy busy. I worked every night after work to get enough done for the fair. It was tough.

I made art aprons, bright florals and poka dots for girls and gingham and cowboys for boys. And I made Zip and Button Snake learning toys. They have zipper mouths and a different closure for each body section to help little ones learn how to tie, button, snap, etc and improve their motor skills while they play. I sold quite a few of these. See more here in my new shop, Priziest Pony, which I made just to sell the extra items that didnt sell at the fair.

Finally time to relax. In my first stocking I got a load of yummy candy, a new ipod car charger, and my favorite - GARFIELD!

Look at how cute these chocolates from my sister are! I love the little skully at the bottom and the mad tea party.

I had to indulge, and maybe create a few cavities, with old fashioned hard candy. These used to be around alot at xmas when I was little. I was missing the beautiful ribbon goodness.

I have to say..

Im sooo glad it over!
