Hello, that beehive and those daisies - amazing

All of these are photos i took of various family albums that my grandma kept completely organized and labeled throughout the years. There are volumes and volumes, and i treasure them so. She always had her camera in her hand or within reach and documented our lives, every birthday party, every christmas, easter, every occasion and labeled in chronological order in beautiful photo albums filled with her hand writing. I love these things. And, Yes, i photographed photographs. I do these kinds of things, like photographing the tv.

Early easter - late

Easter was early this year...March 23rd, Im a little late posting...
This year is the earliest Easter
any of us will ever see the rest of our lives!
The next time Easter will be this early will be the year
2228 (220 years from now). The last time it was this early was 1913. I know someone who's grandmother remembers.
The next time it will be a day earlier, March 22, will be in the year
2285 (277 years from now). The last time it was on March 22 was 1818.

So, no one alive today has or will ever see it any earlier than this
year 2008.
I thought that was interesting.

My sister is very crafty in the kitchen and made lots of goodies, I helped a little.

I made braided fabric garlands.

My mom's kitty Cleo got out one nite and poof, little baby kitties. 4 days old here.

The beautiful lemon tree in the yard is overflowing with yummy-ness. I love lemons! I like them plain, with sugar, in water, mmmm- so I took a huge bag home with me.

Chinese New Year

Happy New Year- 4706 begins Feb 7th, just in time for the largest record snowstorms in over 50 years. Sub-zero temperatures have hit most provinces north of the Yangtze River leaving millions of people without water and power. (I actually didnt get my fuzzy sweater knit lab dips due to the snowstorm as the mill who made them was snowbound.) CNY is the longest and most important holiday and of the only times of the year that people who work in China factories are able to leave work and travel to their hometowns to be with their families. Imagine?

Its the year of the Rat.

I was born in the year of the Horse.
Occupying the 7th position on the Chinese Zodiac, the Horse symbolizes such character traits as strength, energy, and an outgoing nature. Extremely animated, Horses thrive when they’re the center of attention. Always in search of a good time, Horses keep the crowds happy with their humor and their wit.

Horses are extremely intelligent so they’re able to grasp new subjects with ease. They’re also capable of multi-tasking however they don’t always finish what they start because they’re forever chasing the next opportunity. Horses are honest, friendly and open-minded. They’re perhaps a bit too centered on themselves and have been known to throw tantrums when situations don’t go their way.

Horses, being spontaneous, have a tendency to fall fast and hard for others. They tend to give themselves fully in each new relationship a quality that ends up chipping away at their inner being. Fortunately, this exhausting trait mellows with age and relationships are stronger and more stable later in life.
Horses are very healthy, most likely because they maintain a positive outlook on life and because they’re athletic. Lead Horses to wide, open spaces and watch them run free! Horses will usually only feel ill when they’re trapped inside.

BUT>>> Not only that.
I was born in the year of the EARTH HORSE!

Earth Horses – Years 1918 and 1978
Earth Horses will work to meet their goals, no matter how long it takes. They’ve got the ability to view situations from all perspectives and this ability is especially useful when it comes to making decisions. They’re very adaptable and they’re funny too.

Hollywood at xmas time

So my younger step brothers were here in LA for a while from Wisconsin. They wanted to see a bit of Hollywood so we went on a little walk from Arclight Hollywood on Sunset and Cahuenga to Hollywood and Highland. Even tho I live here I rarley go down to hollywood and just walk around. Its pretty in the winter...

The old walk of fame. Yes, its the Queen. U.N.I.T.Y!
The guys were looking in all the shops for Coogi gear and found out why peeps say LA is so expensive! Especially compared to Winconsin. Imagine!
We saw Will Smith's brand spankin new square in the sidewalk at Mann's Chinese. He wrote "Change the World".

This wierd little guy. We put in a quarter and he asked my little nephew to ask a question. My nephew asked "What do you Love"?, and the wierd man said a bunch a garbleygook and then said "The color green, a dog named Boo, and the number 8". I guess he got his answer - Funny, creepy, but funny.

This is the best mural only because of R2D2 in the back there.

It was cool cuz I never get a chance to show people around, everyone i know either lives here or has lived here at some point. I really miss those guys. Come back to LA soon!
